All of our fleet have 50 mm towballs.
Most Towbars can have their towball upgraded if you have a smaller one.
most local car part stores will sell them.

Do I need to have a tow bar installed?

Yes, this installation absolutely needs to be carried out by a qualified tow bar specialist. The tow bar, along with essential components such as the lights connection and the 50mm tow ball, are all integral parts of the Towbar system and should be provided by the hirer at the time of picking up a trailer. It's important to note that you cannot hire a tow bar separately; they are a critical structural component that must be properly fitted and secured by a professional who understands the necessary safety standards and regulations. This ensures both the functionality and safety of the towing setup.
We will supply D Shackles and any Adaptors needed.

What sort of braking system do you have on your trailers?

All of our trailers are equipped with top-of-the-line ALKO Hydraulic Braking Systems, ensuring optimal safety and performance. When the towing vehicle slows down, the hydraulic system transfers force to the trailer's brakes, ensuring synchronized braking between the vehicle and the trailer. This not only enhances safety but also reduces wear and tear on both the towing vehicle and the trailer. ALKO's advanced technology ensures that your trailer remains stable and secure, even during sudden stops or on challenging terrain.

What types of electrical connections and adapters are available?

All our trailers come with a standard 7-pin flat plug. To ensure compatibility with various vehicles, we also provide adapters for large round plugs, small round plugs, and 13-pin Euro plugs.
